BTCCSquare news:

North Korea-linked hacking groups have shattered all previous records for cryptocurrency theft in 2025, with blockchain analytics firm Elliptic reporting over $2 billion stolen so far this year. This unprecedented escalation pushes the regime’s cumulative crypto thefts beyond $6 billion, far surpassing the 2022 record of $1.35 billion.

Stolen funds are believed to fuel North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs, providing critical financial support to one of the world’s most heavily sanctioned economies. The true scale of the theft may be even larger, as not all incidents can be definitively traced back to Pyongyang.
